- SCHOLARSHIPS -
Shasta County Cattlemen’s Association will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships are available to Shasta County high school seniors and current college students, and are not based on financial need. An agricultural background is not required but highly encouraged. The applicant must plan on attending or be a current four year college or university student and carry twelve or more units, study an agricultural field and be a legal United States citizen. Applicants will be selected based on cumulative results of the application elements listed below and possibly an oral interview. Upon receiving a scholarship, applicant must mail a copy of their admission slip from the college before the funds will be released. If proof of admission is not received by September 15 of the following school year the Shasta County Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship will expire. The following items must be included in the application packet Completed application Certified high school or college transcripts •Two letters of recommendation attached to application A. Limited to one by school employee B. Relatives may not be used. Current photo Application packet must be received no later than April 15 Applications after that day will not be considered, no exceptions. Applications that qualify for the oral interview will be notified by telephone. The oral interviews will be held at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee
