Welcome to the Shasta County Cattlemen’s Association! We proudly support local ranchers through advocacy, educational programs, and community events like our annual Family Picnic and Youth Lending Program. By preserving ranchers’ rights and offering scholarships and youth opportunities, we ensure the future of our cattle industry while prioritizing the well-being of our members.
How We Support the Livestock Industry
We are committed to actively protecting and advancing the interests of ranchers and the livestock industry in Shasta County and beyond through the following efforts:
Developing the Shasta County Right to Farm Ordinance
Contributing to the Ag Element of the County’s General Plan
Participating in the County Resource Lands Committee
Preserving Ranchers’ Property and Water Rights
Promoting the future of the livestock industry through education and advocacy
Get Ready for Dove Season — With a Bang!
Kick off fall with our annual Dove Season Warm-Up Trapshoot, held just days before dove season opens on September 1. This exciting event gives hunters and shooting enthusiasts a chance to sharpen their skills with fun clay target competitions, raffles (including gun raffles), and more. Enjoy a day of great food, friendly competition, and community support — all benefiting the Shasta County Cattlemen’s agricultural education and youth programs.
Come join us for a day of fun, food, and fundraising. This is our premier fall event — and we’re aiming to make it a tradition!
